Developed with the North Saskatchewan Light Infantry Regiment, this beer was originally released to commemorate their time serving in Afghanistan. Much of their time spent with locals would involve drinking “chai”. This beer is released annually for Remembrance Day in limited quantities.
Built on a malty foundation of toasted bread and caramel flavours, this beer pairs traditional chai spices and hints of smokiness for a truly unique experience. Bright top and middle notes of cinnamon, cardamom and clove spices immediately jump out of the glass, developing with light smokey notes of leather and fired wood (think freshly crackling birch or pine). With a creamy head and pouring a pale amber, this beer’s character is hard to ignore.
This beer is a staff favourite and is highly anticipated every year.
